Closing this chapter, until the next book

300+ books is what I have read to date while cognitively agile. Before that I may have read or been read to a dozen more...whatever the case, I had to close each chapter and or book until the very next one. I had no idea if the next book would be any better than the last, but I just knew that I had read the book and so I could keep the story in my heart and move on...and you know the rest. The real story is - this is not about me; this is about a chapter of my life that I could have closed awhile ago, but the suspense and idea that it would end soon - kept me putting it off just so I could hold on a little longer...

The book in question is the 'twelfth chapter' of The HML Foundation - the non profit 'book-of-life' which I established and founded named after my father Henry Morrison Limula all those twelve years ago. I am using the analogy of books to represent HML Foundation and the analogy of chapters to represent the years that I have spent building the charity up so far. After keeping the HML Foundation's vision to a grassroot level for all these years and not seeing any movement closer to my mission, in the eleventh hour (very dangerous they say) - thus being the eleventh year - an opportunity came knocking at my door...albeit too good to be true; I made a bold decision to take the plunge; sink or swim. The inevitable happened, I sank...the decision I made was a risky one and the risk did not pay off..but that is how it goes. Sometimes the book delivers, sometimes it leaves us on a cliff hanger - either way -the chapter has to close and on to the next book. Your soul just knows when to close a chapter, and mine knew this was it for HML...at least for now.

Your Soul Knows when it is time to close a chapter

Whatever the terms of this closure is not the issue, provided we all hold on to our vision, no one can take it away from us. In fact the book is just on the shelf; completely read? Yes. Open for re-edit? Absolutely! The 15th editon is being written and it will be out by 2020! I do believe this will be just the begining of the end. The best re-write of this book to bring the HML Foundation to fruition. So to celebrate the end of this chapter, we are giving away over 300+ books, DVDs, CDs to deserving local charities and people in Zambia. This is my I #LoveBooks gift to mother Zambia.

Much as I would have loved to do this in person, I am not in Zambia right now. But with the help of a very talented young lady and a student of Library and Information Sciences at Evelyn Hone College, Mwaba Mutale, a pomising young lady after my own heart, we can do this! Mwaba with her equally talented army of volunteers; also Library and Information Sciences students from Evelyn Hone College, namely Chisomo, Rose, Letisha and Pauline will kindly assist us find great homes and hearts for these books. There are no better people suited to do this than this group of passionate future Librarians. I am especially proud that they will act as The HML Foundation ambassadors during this #LoveBooks valentine project and beyond.

You too my Angels can participate - if you know an NGO, School, Library or anyone who loves books and would benefit from this Gift That Keeps Giving, Use #LoveBooks to contact us or DM at @SaveMySpace on twitter or Facebook at @thehmlfoundation. Instagram @savemyspace. Please welcome Mwaba she is new on twitter @mwabamutale25

We look forward to hearing your story in 140 characters or less - why you think your choice deserves to receive a book/ books from us. Happy story-telling. Although we will keep our presence on social media active; we hope to see you back officially in the year 2020 when we hope to re-launch The HML Foundation Re-imagined 20/20 vision... I KNOW ITS POSSIBLE!

Until then my Angels, Lots of Love, from my heart to yours,

Jen

You can't start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one
